Drama Queen

Most people don't realize what a drama queen Kenadi is. They always say how sweet and cute and funny she is but not drama queen. I mean at church people tell us all the time how we have the cutest kids and they love watching them during Sacrament and they are just so cute and well behaved. Well, today I was cleaning the bathroom. I didn't want her in there so I took her out and shut the door. She started crying SO hard that she stopped breathing and then she lost all muscle control and falls on the floor. Really? It is that bad? It makes me laugh thinking about it because it is so ridiculous. She usually has one of these fits probably 2 a day (at least). Yeah, SO not looking forward to her getting older. One other thought about her, when we took her to the doctor he was filling out her checkup report on the computer and he got to the "social" aspect of the exam...he said outloud "Emotional!" Yep, thats our girl! (evidently she still finds the term "princess" quite appropriate for her)

Random Thoughts

Bobbie and I were talking the other day about Kenadi picking lint out of her toes. I told her that I had no idea where she got that from. She then reminded me that Jackson used to pick lint out of her toes when she was super little. Maybe she remembers...It gave me a good laugh because I had forgotten all about that!

I have been sick for what seems like forever- okay its really been like a week and a half but still! Jackson caught it on Friday but seems to be getting over it. Kenadi started seeming sick Saturday and has gotten progressively worse. She still isn't horrible but you can tell she doesn't feel well. The past two days she has woken up super grumpy! Like any little thing sets her off. This morning it was first that I didnt get her milk quick enough. Then I made her oatmeal instead of toast like Jackson. Although, once I made her toast like him she was happy as could be and ate a piece and a half.

More on Kenadi, Andrew didn't mention that when we took her to the doctor, the doctor told us to try and feed her more throughout the day. We told him that she really does eat A LOT, usually more than Jackson and he said to just try and keep giving her snacks and whatnot. Well, on Sunday Emily and Dylan were awesome and brought us up dinner! It was so great! We gave Kenadi a piece of lasagna and a piece of bread. Dylan was impressed with the fact that she ate the WHOLE piece of lasagna we gave her and the whole piece of garlic bread. She then proceeded to beg more bread off of Dylan and followed it up with 2 chocolate chip cookies. Yes, that was all in the span of about an hour and a half. Really, I think she is just going to be little. I wish I had a metabolism as fast as her.

Yesterday when Jackson woke up from his nap he was a little grumpy. Andrew said that he woke up scared (I was still napping so I didn't know). Well, once he finally woke up and had some milk and salad he was feeling much better about life. So much so that he did not stop talking for about an hour straight. We went to the grocery store and he talked the whole way there about random things and then just some random jabbering that we dont understand. Andrew and Jackson ran into the store and Andrew said he did the same thing in the store. It is hilarious! Now that he has learned to talk he sometimes doesn't want to stop.

Last week was Spring break for Andrew (AWESOME!) We had big plans to clean and organize our house but none of that really happened. Instead we went and bought the kids bunk beds. We have them separate right now, but Jackson thinks his bed is AWESOME! He loves it. Kenadi on the other hand isn't quite sure about it so she is still sleeping in her other bed. We think we may have to start with the toddler bed for her. We did go to the aquarium one day and that was a ton of fun! Both kids thought it was great. I enjoyed it but there were stupid people and children there who don't understand that you shouldn't push other kids out of the way. At one point the kids were standing on the little rock "stools" that they have built in so little kids can see into the tanks, well we were at a big one and this 18 or 19 year old comes up and stands up right behind my kids kind of pushing them so she could get a picture of the shark or something. I mean seriously? Oh well, the kids enjoyed it and didn't seem to be too bothered by the dumb people around.Oh and I took pictures there but our camera was acting weird and none of them turned out. Bummer!

Random Pictures from the past couple of months

Well, I have been really slacking! It was made evident to me when Andrew put up the last two posts. To make up for it, here are a plethora of pictures from the past couple of months.
Jackson is very good at sharing with Kenadi.
And sharing again with her
Kenadi wanted to help with the dishes I guess..yeah, climbing on that does not help.
She LOVES licorice. She kept stealing some from Andrew. (Wait, she LOVES all food!)
Jackson has been building forts in the living room.
Mmm..brownie batter.
He made a ramp for his dinosaurs to go down.
Cars worked really well on it too!
For some reason she loves to dump her food on her tray and press her face against her plate. Usually her little tongue comes out and licks a little bit but I couldn't catch it on camera.
This is what happens when the kids are being quiet and you don't care to check on them.
Yes, he is IN the toy box and all of the toys were out! As well as most of the toys from the shelf. It was AWESOME to clean up.
He has quite the imagination. The bottom from the blocks bucket came loose so on his own accord he got inside it and grabbed his funnel hat.
Grandma and Grandpa Muffler sent them pinwheels. They think they are AWESOME!
Really Awesome!
As mentioned above, the kid loves food. She LOVES top ramen of all things and will go and grab packages of it and hand them to you to make it for her.
One day I was downstairs folding clothes while Kenadi was napping. Jackson was just playing around and ran upstairs. I didn't think anything of it since the playroom is upstairs. A few minutes later I came up and found him asleep behind the rocker. He stayed sleeping like that for about an hour until Kenadi woke up.
She was SO proud of herself for getting up on the big stool ALL BY HERSELF! (I on the other hand was less than thrilled, she already gets into everything!)
My parents sent the kids Cambridge University shirts. The day we got the package Jackson insisted that they both wear them. This is Kenadi's "Cheeeeese" smile.
And here is Jackson's "Cheese" smile. He was too excited to let go of his bus and taxi that they sent him.
We bought the kids a Cozy Coupe car. It was raining the day we got it so we let them play with it inside. Kenadi thought it was fun, that is until she started pushing herself backwards. Freaked her out!
Jackson was playing and I went to see what he was up to.
He was washing his car of course! He was pretending with a dish towel to dip it in the "water" portion of his train track and wash the car.
He made sure to get every part of it.
He loves to dress up- and chooses these outfits on his own. Here is wearing the pink bunny hat that is really Kenadi's, a play oven mitt, one brown boot and one snow boot. Awesome look!
Playing at the park
He thought this chair at the furniture store was AWESOME!

My grandparents were in town and we had a fun visit with them. Jackson really enjoyed playing ball with grandpa!
Kenadi was getting sleepy and kept pulling her blanket over for Andrew to put it on her. Well, Jackson decided he wanted to lay by her. They laid that way for a few minutes.

Lint between my toes...and some kite flying

We are thinking that somehow as parents we have been passing on this genetic trait of wanting to clean out the stuff between their toes. With Jackson, we would often do it for him, and then he picked up on doing it and we got these pictures of him when he was about 14 months old...
Well in the past few weeks Keandi has picked up on it too.
Here is a picture that we got of her doing the same thing.
We also bought some kites from walmart last week and finally had a nice enough day to go and fly them. Here are some pictures of jackson flying his buzz lightyear kite.

Here are the results of Kenadi's most recent checkup:

Height: 28.25in (14th percentile)
Weight 18.21lbs (5th percentile)
.Head Circumference: 18.2in (75th percentile)

Her doctor said that Kenadi is developing just fine and that there aren't any concerns so far. Her scars have all healed up really well. She is walking and talking really well. He is just impressed at how well she is doing!
