So much catching up to do

We have been back from our vacations for like 2 weeks now and I have YET to blog about them. Maybe because its such a daunting task to do. We were gone for 2 weeks- one week in Oregon and one in Colorado. So, I think that I will procrastinate blogging about them a little longer and instead will do a quick catch up of whats been going on since we got back.
Andrew started teaching summer school. It's been a little crazy for him since he is the only teacher for severe special ed grades K-12. Yeah, that's a lot of students! Thankfully he has some very good aids and it's only 3 hours a day. LOVING that! He is home by 12 most days! It's pretty awesome and the kids love it too!
The kids have been as active and crazy as ever. It's such an adjustment coming home from vacation. They miss their grandparents and aunt and uncle like crazy! Maybe because they would always stop what they were doing to play with them. It has been super hot here so we put up a little blow up pool for them in the back.

The kids were excited to get and see their Great Great grandpa again (it had been over a month since we had seen him). The absolutely LOVE playing in the backyard.

Jackson loved running through the grass. He ran up to the fence and backdown probably 30 times (at least!) and STILL wanted to keep doing it despite it being 90 degrees outside.

Kenadi shared one of the Peonies with grandpa

Beautiful peonies!

In other news, I had my ultrasound with the perinatologist and things are looking perfect with this little boy. He showed us from a couple of different angles that he does not have a diaphragmatic hernia which is great news! I had a checkup on Tuesday and everything looked great. When my dr went to measure me I told her that I was pretty confident that I am measuring big. She measured and kind of smiled and said, "Yep. You're measuring 27 weeks." I was a couple of days shy of 23 weeks. LOL. But we are both pretty sure that it is because he is sitting up so high (he is sitting just like Jackson and Kenadi sat) with his head in my left ribs and his feet dangling towards my right ribs usually. So looks like Im destined to measure big this whole pregnancy as well. Oh well...thats the way it goes. We still haven't decided on a name. Well, Andrew has decided on a name but I haven't decided if I want to name him that. I'm sure we'll decide soon though.
Well, thats all for now, I will try and get our vacation pictures up soon.

Yes, it's true!

A couple of you readers have asked if I am pregnant. Yes! I am! Andrew thought it would be funny to just put up the baby ticker and not say anything. But, since I am now 18 (19 weeks on Thursday) along, we thought we could officially announce that I am! We are pretty excited for this little one to join us. We are even more excited to announce that it's a BOY! We were going to try and wait for our 20 week ultrasound, but since I am having a level 2 with Perinatology and we are out of town for the next two weeks it isn't until the 22 and we SO did not want to wait that long. So yesterday, I called and set up a gender scan. It was fun to see him! He should be making his arrival around October 27th (hopefully with any luck it will be a little sooner!)

Happy Anniversary and a quick trip!

Friday, Andrew and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! We had to make a quick trip out to Medford so we celebrated there. My parents surprised us with a gift certificate to Bella Union. Boy it was tasty! We are looking forward to go there again. We really didn't do much that day. We hadn't planned on anything since we figured we would celebrate this week because we left Jackson and Kenadi with my parents. Yes, we were brave and decided to leave them there since we are going back this weekend. Kind of crazy! The kids are having a blast with the grandparents and uncle Ry and Aunt Shan. In fact, Kenadi cries every time Shannon leaves the house. She didn't even cry when I left! Oh well! At least they are having fun!
Anyways, back to being married for 5 years. It's been a fairly crazy 5 years but it's been awesome! I love Andrew more and more each day (okay maybe not EACH day, but you know what I mean) and am so glad to have him by my side. In 5 years we have:
-Lived in 4 apartments
-Had like 8 different jobs between the 2 of us
-Had 2 kids
-Survived the NICU stay with Kenadi
-Excitedly expecting our third!

Happy Anniversary love! Looking forward to many more!
