Words of Wisdom from Jackson

Jack: "mom! Did you know that your dad wants a new car?"
Me: no I didn't
Jack: "I know! I have a very good idea! We can give your dad our car! Our white Hyundai!
Me: "that's an idea. But then we wouldn't have a car"
Jack: "that's okay! Well buy a new one!"

If only life were that simple. At least jack is generous.

During dinner we were talking about going on vacation. We are going to Disneyland in just a couple weeks but the kids don't know.
Me: "should we go on vacation this summer?"
Jack: "Mmm..."
Silence
Andrew: "if we could go anywhere where should we go?" thinking they would say grandmas/grandpas or the beach.
Jack: "I know!! WALMART!!"
Andrew: "umm, what about somewhere else. It can even be far away."
Jack: "SMITHS!!!!"

Hmm, evidently he'd be content with just going to the grocery store. For what it's worth, smiths is farther away than Walmart.

Also during dinner
Jack: "mom, did you know you can just let the stars (Easton's little puff snacks) stay on the floor and then put babies down and you don't have to vacuum?!"
Me: "so if the stars fall on the floor I should just leave them and put Easton on the floor?"
Jack: "yep! Or other babies too! Then the babies will eat them and it'll go in their bellies and you don't have to vacuum!!"

Well, I guess that's one way of cleaning up.

Colorado Vacation!

The day after Andrew's birthday, we headed out to Colorado to visit Andrew's parents and get Kenadi and Jackson. We had a wonderful week there! They sure spoil us (especially me). They would get up with Kenadi in the middle of the night and let us sleep in when she woke up at 5-5:30 in the morning! We played outside a lot! It was so nice to just sit out there and watch the kids run around. We also went to the Olympic Training Center which the kids absolutely LOVED! We went and saw the Air Force museum- which we really just went to see all the airplanes. Went to the aquarium and the American girl doll store. It was a blast! Can't wait to go back next year!
