Well since I have been totally slacking in putting up pictures here are some from the past couple of weeks.

After a nap, he was coming up the stairs but was too tired to make it all the way up so he fell asleep on the stairs. He slept like that for probably a half hour then made it up to the second set of stairs and fell asleep on those too.

Miss Kenadi looking pretty before bedtime. She is 7 months and moving all over. She hasn't figured out how to go forward, but has mastered moving backwards.

Poor kid has a cold. Yesterday morning he woke up all stuffed up and congested. Hopefully he gets feeling better, his birthday is tomorrow!

Do you ever

look at your life and think how wonderful it is? I do..quite often. Mostly during the quiet times of my day (i.e. noon  nap time and late at night when everyone but me is asleep). Now don't get me wrong, there are days (like yesterday when one little girl didn't want to take naps- I won't name names) that it is a long day to get through, but then to see the smiles on my kids faces when dad gets home and they are all playing around together is the best thing in the world. Even when things are a little on the tough side, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I feel so fortunate that I can stay home and play with my kids all day. After one rough day with whining children, I was telling Andrew how Jackson and Kenadi just wanted me to hold them and I had so much to do. He then asked me if I would prefer it if they didn't ever want me. Yeah that was a good reminder that even in the days where I have a million things to do and they just want me to sit and hold them, thats okay. Everything can wait (usually) and I can just sit and hold them. They aren't going to be little forever (and no, I wouldn't want them to stay little forever either).

Slacking!

Man, I've really been slacking on our blog lately. I do have a good reason though, we have been potty training! Anyone whose potty trained (Bobbie you don't count) knows how time consuming it is. For the first couple of days I didn't even take a shower until Andrew came home because I didn't trust Jackson and didn't want to clean pee up off of the floor. So we've been doing that for a week and its going really well. He still has accidents and we still need to remind him to go potty but slowly he is starting to just go and sit on his potty when he needs to. Just this morning I asked himand he told me no. Then about 15 minutes later he went sat down on his potty by himself. I am ecstatic! Maybe it really is sticking in his little brain! My goal is for him to be daytime potty trained (minus nap time-not ready to tackle that one yet) by the time he is 2. We have just under two weeks until then and I think he'll get it. He is really good at holding it and has not had any accidents when we've been out. Even when we went to my great grandpas house on Saturday which is about 45 minutes away he didnt have an accident! We were pretty excited for that. We're so proud of how well he is doing, especially since he is still on the younger side for potty training.
   Other than that we really haven't been up to much. We are loving Heber! The kids and I love to go for walks up here. It is so beautiful! It seems so much quieter than Orem. Our ward is super nice too! People are genuinely nice and welcoming. Such a different experience from the last time we went to a family ward in Utah (we went when we were first married and absolutely HATED it). So far its been a great experience. Jackson even stayed in nursery the whole time yesterday. We aren't sure if he liked it but they didn't have to come get us so it must not have been too bad.
   Well thats it for now. No pictures right Andrew just put them all on the external hard drive and we all know how good I am at getting pictures off of there). But I will say that Jackson just went potty again, by himself, without prompting! YES!

She's Back!!!

So as I mentioned in my previous post about Kenadi, she has been having a hard time adjusting to our new place. It probably is because for about a month we had no routine whatsoever. Anyways, last night as we were eating dinner she got really fussy. We knew she was sleepy but she didn't want to be picked up. Andrew picked her up and she started crying hard. So he laid her on the ground and gave her her binky and within 5 minutes she was out! Man, I love that she is doing that again.

Then, this morning she was playing on the ground and started whining a bit. Then all at once, and I mean like within a minute, shes quiet and not moving. Yeah she's asleep! So I guess we are delaying our walk for a little bit and I'm just fine with that- especially since she fell asleep on her own.

Love this little girl! (Did I mention that she slept through the night last night. Hopefully she's getting back into that routine too! And she just went back to sleep after her wonderful brother stepped on her)

6 Months old!

Well, Kenadi is 6 months. Well, on the 22nd she turned 6 months actually. Where in the world has time gone? Next month Jackson turns 2, then it will be Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and then Kenadi will be 1. Yes, this is how I always think of things. The next 6 months are going to fly by!!
She had her dr appointment this week and no surprise she is healthy as can be (minus a little ezcema on her back). She is 16 lbs (40%) and 26 inches long (61%) and her head was in the 70%. She is still reaching all of the developmental milestones and even exceeding some. She must have gotten some good blood during her transfusions when she was in the hospital lol. She is so funny! Lately if we say hi to her she says hi (or what sounds like hi) back to us. And if we wave she will sometimes wave back. So great. We keep teasing her that she is going to start talking before Jackson (yeah he still doesn'tfeel the need to talk). Shes been kind of a pill lately though. She wants me to be right by her all the time or holding her or she cries bloody murder. And I mean for like 90% of the day. I asked the dr about it and he said that it doesn't surprise him in the least bit since we just moved and some babies at this age start to be scared of EVERYTHING. He said it should go away in a month or so. Thank goodness its just a phase! Actually it was funny because yesterday, she actually was SUPER good! I was able to get stuff done without her being right by me and she even fell asleep for her nap on her own and slept for like 2 hours! Hallelujah! We love our little princess!

What's mine is Yours

So usually when I post on the blog its about what we're doing or what the kids are up to. Well, today its neither of that. It's just a post about some things I've been thinking about. I've decided that I am going to use our blog to write things that come to mind and what not.
Anyways, today we went for a walk. Yesterday I started walking the morning with the kids. They both love it. Well, Kenadi fell asleep yesterday so I just assume she loved it. Today she stayed awake and played while Jackson listened for all different noises. It was so so windy today. Between the wind blowing right at us and pushing two kids in a double stroller (I figure its about 50 pounds with kids in it) I was feeling it so we didn't walk for as long as I wanted to. So we came home and I decided to do a video. Well, after I finished my video the kids were both ravenous (did I forget to mention that both were up for most of the night, thankfully I have a wonderful husband who dealt with them most of the time, but Jackson slept until 9 and Kenadi fell back asleep at about 8:30 and slept until 10, so we were off to a late start). So I had left my yoga mat on the floor while I quickly prepared something for Jackson to eat. I got his food ready and Kenadi was frantically crying for food. I got her baby food made. Well, since they were both eating at the same time only one could be in the high chair. So I ask Jackson where he wants to sit, and of course its right on my yoga mat. Thats fine with me. We get everybody fed and happy and Jackson brings me his bowl, and I find little noodles all over the mat (he wanted top ramen for lunch today- I didnt fight it). What I realized was that it really didnt bother me. Sure my mat will probably smell like top ramen for awhile but there are worse things in life. After having kids I realize that really what's mine is really theirs. Andrew always laughs because if Jackson won't eat all we have to do is put it on my plate and almost always he will eat. Why is it better if its off of my plate? No clue! One of those mysteries. But really, I don't mind. Its undescribable how one little person can change your life so much. I wouldn't change my two little people for anything in the world (well, maybe at 2 in the morning...nah, they're worth it).

Andrew's Muffler

So we got a landline because it was super super cheap to add on to our internet. Anyways, this morning I have had 5 phone calls asking if this was a business (all from stupid telemarketers, I can call them stupid because I once did it). Anyways, I could not figure out for the life of me why they would think this was a business. Finally I thought maybe Qwest registered our number as a business instead of residential. I checked online, nope. Says residential line right on the front. Hmm..well as I get our number on the do not call registry I get another phone call. This time it was a lady calling asking if this was Andrew's Muffler. I thought she said Andrew so I said no this is his wife. She said, "Oh you mean this isn't a business to repair mufflers?" MMM, Nope! She was very nice and apologized and now the problem is solved. Guess people are assuming this is a business. Thats what happens when your last name is a common business name.

SO BEHIND!

Man! I am so behind in blogging it is not even funny. I still have to put up pictures from our fun trip to Oregon, Adam & Arielles wedding which all of Andrew's family was at, talk about moving and getting settled. It has been a very busy August. BUT, I really don't feel like blogging all of that, plus I want to go in order so I need to find the external harddrive to get our Oregon pictures (why they are already on the external hard drive instead of the computer is beyond me...) SO until I decide to find that and sit down for like 3 hours and type, I will leave you with some recent pictures of the kids from my phone.

He was so tired after church two weeks ago, he fell asleep in the car. I took him out and he woke up but as soon as I laid him down he fell right back asleep. I couldn't even change his clothes.

First bath together. Kenadi is pretty much a pro at sitting up by herself so she graduated to the Really big bath tub. They love LOVE taking baths together. Well, Jackson loves pouring water on Kenadi and Kenadi loves watching Jackson.

SO SO tired! It was a long day. He fell asleep on the way home from Orem.
