Jackson has really started talking up a storm. With his talking brings funny things. These are all things that happened last week.
I usually read the scriptures to the kids during lunchtime. They're quiet and occupied so its the easiest time for us. I usually read a chapter or two depending on the day. We are reading in 2 Nephi right now and I finished up one chapter and looked to see what the next chapter was about.
Me: "Oh its Isaiah, we'll save that for tomorrow."
Jackson "Isaiah? Yes mom yes!!"
Me "You want to read Isaiah today?"
Jackson: "Isaiah YES YES YES!!"
So we read the next chapter as well. Cracked me up!
This was on Friday. The kids wanted to blow bubbles but I wasn't in the mood so I said that maybe when they took a bath later they could blow them. Jackson thought about that for a minute and then:
"Bubble bath now mom!"
Me: "You want to take a bath now? How about later after dinner?" (it was only 11:00)
Jackson: "No, me stinky!! Woo-wee!! (waving his hand in front of his nose) Butt stinky!! (patting his butt now) Adi stinky!! (once again waving his hand in front of his nose) Adi butt stinky!! Bubble bath!"
So because they both were evidently SO stinky I let them take a bath.
Saturday at my grandpas house there were a bunch of potato bugs outside. Jackson and Kenadi were fascinated by them and kept watching them. One of them crawled right by the mat and then stopped moving.
Jackson: "Potato bug stuck!"
Me: "Well go pick it up and move it."
Jackson: "Uh-uh!!! (shaking his head) Kenadi!!!!! potato bug stuck!"
He wanted Kenadi to pick up the potato bug and move it. Isn't that what little sisters are for? To do the dirty work? The funny thing is Kenadi thinks its great to pick up the potato bugs and throw them as far as she can.

Some Random pictures from the past couple of weeks
Here are some random pictures from the past couple of weeks.
Jackson LOVES building towers with his Legos. Its pretty much a daily habit now.
He wanted to take a picture of it. This is one picture of about 10 that he took of his tower. He was pretty proud.
She loves to climb into buckets, boxes pretty much anything. I remember Jackson used to do this is as well.
I must say it was pretty hilarious when she fell over. She didn't find it so funny.
This kid is always pretending. The funnel is usually a hat but today it was more special because of the added umbrella on top.
One Saturday we were at my great Grandpas house. We were playing outside. Kenadi just walked over to grandpa and patted his lap so he would pick her up.
Pretty flowers in his backyard. I wish I had a yard like his. Its awesome! The kids can just run around and play. LOVE IT!
One day at Costco they were giving away free Creamies, full size! Kenadi just liked the popsicle stick and would just let it hang out of her mouth like that.
Bucket head. She put it on by herself.
He LOVES strawberries. We bought the big container from Costco and he ate probably 3/4 of it by himself.
Another Saturday at Grandpas. Kenadi found the one little patch of exposed dirt and proceeded to play in it. She also liked finding the roly polys and picking them up and throwing them.
Mother's Day!
Mother's Day was great. It was nice and relaxing which is just what I needed and wanted! Andrew and the kids made me breakfast, waffles eggs and bacon and also made cards for me. So cute! Jackson kept saying, "Mother's day mom!!" They bought me a couple new shirts and some dressy sandals for church. It was great. During nursery we made handprint flowers for the kids to take to their moms. Jackson of course made me some and for the next week (until I threw them away) he would bring me the paper flower bouqet and tell me, "Mother's day mom! Mothers day Mom!" Andrew made dinner that night, hamburgers which were oh so tasty and it was a pretty easy cleanup. I am so grateful to be a mom. I have some pretty great kids no matter how crazy they make me (and some days it's pretty crazy) but then when they come up to you and give you a hug and a kiss or they ask for you instead of dad, it makes your day!
Easter (finally!)
I know! I am totally slacking on updating my blog recently. There really is no reason other than just not wanting to do it. So we'll go back to Easter now almost a month later. We had a nice Easter! Saturday we colored eggs and painted the kids buckets. Although we should have started everything earlier because at 7 we just started painting the buckets and Kenadi was done and ready to go to bed. Oh well, we had a blast. The kids LOVED dying the eggs. Kenadi liked drinking the dye. Yeah, I don't know why but she would be so sneaky and put some on her spoon and then quickly slurp it up! GROSS!! After the first time of drinking it we were fast and were able to prevent her from drinking anymore. (EEW makes me sick thinking of it!)
She always does this super cheesy "cheeeeese" smile.
I love her tongue sticking out in this one
Such concentration
Trying to get the kids to smile at the same time. Not working..
Kenadi still doesn't want to take a picture
Now she does, but Jack isn't smiling
Well at least theyre both happy
And I think they're done
And this is where Kenadi decided she was done with painting and ready for bed
But we managed to convince her a little bit longer would be ok
Easter Morning
Trying to get a picture of the kids in their cute Easter outfits
Kenadi is ready for a nap
Jackson's being silly
Aah, forget it! This will have to do. They looked adorable!
We went to church and it was exhausting as usual, except all of the kids in nursery were super hyper from Easter candy (awesome...). When we came home all I wanted to do was lay down and take a nap but Adam, Arielle and Nicole were coming over for dinner so I had to get things going. Thankfully, I was prepared and everything was pretty much ready it just needed to be put in the oven. I had even started the baked beans in the crockpot first thing in the morning so I wouldn't have to worry about those. We had a delicious dinner and that was that. Nothing too exciting in the evening. We had a nice Easter! Hope you all did too!
