Socks arent for wearing...

They are for eating! Why of course! Jackson has the tendency of taking off one sock and sticking it in his mouth and keeping it there for awhile. I have no idea why he does this but he does. In fact he sticks basically everything in his mouth. His mouth is basically just another hand for him. Andrew thinks he does it so that he can easily crawl around and take the thing with him. Who knows.
Jack has a playmat that folds in half and we put it in between the bookshelf and piano. Well he has figured out how to pull it out. He likes to filp it over and hide behind it. For some reason this picture reminds me of my niece Madison. Maybe its the wide eyed big smile face.Usually Jack wakes up really happy. Sometimes he greets us already standing ready to get out. These are our beautiful lilies. We planted one last year and this is how many came back this year. More bloom every day.

Laughin Jackson

So last night we were playing with jackson and Christina started bouncing the basketball. That was fun and all but then when she messed up and it didnt bounce back up to her Jackson let out the hardest laugh ever, so of course she kept doing it and he kept laughing. after this had been going on for about 10 minutes we finally decided to record it and he kept laughing for the next few minutes. here is a taste of how hard he was laughing.

Soccer Game Date Night and Andrews Birthday

So for Andrews Birthday we had Emily and Dylan over for cake and here are a couple of pictures of the cake and Andrews 26 fingers.

Then on saturday we went on a date night to the Real Salt Lake Game against the Colorado Rapids, and it as so fun. We really enjoyed ourselves and totally encourage anybody who has the opportunity to go to a Professional Soccer game, it was so Cool!

Here is a picture of these drummers at the game who didnt stop once the whole game banging on the drums, very impressive. We had fun making fun of them most of the game.
Oh and after the game David Archuletta performed! We stayed just long enough to get the picture, he wasnt that entertaining, but we paid for it so we at least made sure to get our picture.

Swimming in the Sun!

Well we were going to go to the pool this morning but it didnt open till 12 so we went to target and discovered it would cheaper to just buy a small pool and put it in the grass in front of our house. So we did and we had fun as Jackson attempted to go into the cold water!

Starting School All Over Again!

Christina failed to mention that she has decided to return to BYU this Winter and maybe this fall if things work out right. Today we went and talked to the admission counselor who kept congratulating Christina for making the decision to go back. She is going to study Communication Disorders! Way exciting! Sure she will have to get her Masters but now she will be able to complete her goal of finishing school a lot earlier then planned!! Yay for Christina!! I am so proud of her. I think I am more excited then she is that she is going back, but she is so smart, she will do great going back!

Adventures of Jackson

Jackson has been moving around like crazy. He has mastered pulling himself up to stand on pretty much anything he can get his little hands on. He is also getting better at using his opposable thumb. He can now get anything small into his mouth- good for eating food, bad for small items he finds on the floor. Just the other day I hear Andrew say, "I think Jackson ate a penny." I thought that was a weird way to say that so I asked him what he meant. He then showed me Jacksons poopy diaper with a penny in it! Yeah! We couldn't believe it! We never noticed any distress when it was going down or coming out! We try to be careful and make sure to check the floor for any small item but for some reason Jackson has radar vision and will find the one penny on the floor.
He also knows how to clap now and LOVES to do it. Its quite funny. Sometimes he will clap when I am getting his food ready. He also says dad/dada. He gets very excited when Andrew calls during his break and I put the phone on speaker. He just starts saying dad-dada-dada-dad repeatedly. Quite funny.
I've also discovered that he likes ALLfood. He has yet to reject anything that I give him. If you put something to his mouth he will eat it up.
I'll need to get the camera and put pictures up. That'll have to come at a later time though.

3 Years!

Andrew and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary on Wednesday. We went to lunch at Olive Garden and it was super yummy. Then Andrew surprised me and had taken the night off so we were able to just relax together and watch So You Think You Can Dance. It was fun to have him home at night. He bought me a pair of shoes! So exciting! Although we had to return them because they were a half size to small (not his fault though- he got the size that I normally wear these just seem to run small) and I bought him the Complete Thin Man Collection. Thin Man are probably his favorite movies. Anyways, we had a very enjoyable day together. Its crazy to think its been 3 years that we have been married. So much has happened during that time. I look forward to a bunch more years with him.

Andrew Signed with a School District

On Tuesday Andrew interviewed with Wasatch County School District in Heber City, UT. Then on Wednesday he was planning on going to Cederedge, CO for another interview. But about an hour after the interview they called him back in Heber and offered him a job! Finally a job offer in a normal place! So we prayed about it that night and really felt right about it, and he signed a letter of intent on Wednesday morning and ended up not going to Colorado. And of course as soon as he signed with Heber, he got an email for a second interview in Sweethome Oregon and then a phonecall from Eagle Point Oregon, but thats alright we really feel good about this opportunity and we are excited to get to see our freinds for at least another year!

Pictures!

Okay, I am finally putting some pictures up. No, none of them are from graduation because we cant find where they were saved on the external hard drive so these are just some pictures that we have taken over the past little while.
Jackson absolutely loves his bath. One Sunday while we were getting ready for church he kept trying to climb into his tub. Andrew finally just sat him in it and that kept him happy until we were ready to go. He has now graduated to the BIG tub and boy does he love it! He realized a couple of days ago that he can crawl around and lay down in the tub so he takes full advantage of that. He also takes full advantage of drinking the water. Yeah, some battles just aren't worth fighting.

Just a happy boy!

He knows exactly where his toys are at and if he isnt happy with the ones he already has out he will go and grab his baskets and pull ALL of the toys out. Yeah, not such a fun game but it sure gives us a laugh.

Jackson posing with his "ugly" monkey. This is one of his absolute favorite toys. We think it is because he likes to chew on the legs, arms and tail. Plus it still has the tag on it and he LOVES tags.

Jacksons other favorite toy. For some reason he absolutely loves my pump. We try to keep it up out of reach but occasionally he will find it. He loves playing with the tubing.

One day while we were at work, we were playing in the back and I had to go help a customer so I let Jackson stay back there. WhenI got back he was trying to climb over the diaper bag (yeah dont know why he didnt go around it). He started to get really frustrated because he was high centered and couldnt get off. I had to get a picture of it because it was too funny. The best part was seeing his legs high in the air. Still makes me laugh (does that make me a bad mom?)

These are my great grandpas sheep this year. The picture is kind of far away, but you get the idea. This was actually really funny. Andrew and I were working in the garden and the 5 sheep would take like 2 steps closer to us and then stop and stare.

The Long Awaited Update

I know! It has been quite awhile since we have updated our blog! A LOT has been happening around here. First off, both our families came into town 2 weeks ago for Andrews graduation! He did it!! It was great to see him walk across the stage and get the empty folder. It was also so much fun to have both of our families here. We had a blast with them. We have pictures but they are all on the external hard drive and I dont know how to get them off so Andrew will have to update again. Now on to finding a job that we feel he should take. He has had a couple of offers but none of them were right so he keeps on applying and interviewing with different school districts. Who knows where we will end up in the fall.
Jackson turned 7 months on the 1st. I can't believe how time has flown (I know, everybody says that). He is eaing all sorts of baby foods now but he prefers whatever we have on our plate (tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberries are some of his favorites). He has also started crawling!! He has been moving and rolling and scooting for quite awhile, but he finally figured out how to move his arms and legs at the same time together. Being even more mobile he can get into more things but it is so cute to watch him crawl. Now he is now working on climbing up on things and standing up by himself. If we are sitting on the floor he will crawl over and climb up on us. Evidently we are now his jungle gyms. We have been trying to get video of him crawling but everytime we turn the camera on he stops and smiles. Hes such a ham.
Well I think that that is all of the exciting things going on right now. Life in general is just keeping us busy. Ill have Andrew put pictures up on the blog tomorrow.

Wahoo! Blue Easter Eggs!

So this morning we had an easter egg hunt where Jackson had to pick up all of the eggs and put them in his pail. It was a lot of fun. The very first egg he found was the blue egg. It went right in his mouth. Because it was a colored egg, thats exactly where the blue dye stayed...on his mouth! haha it was pretty fun. Here are some pictures of our hunt.

Preparations for Easter

So today we started preparing for Easter by coloring eggs and also painting Jackson's Easter pail. We had a lot of fun, Jackson even helped put the eggs in the cups, and he tried to help paint, but of course he wanted to eat the paintbrush. First here are the pictures of painting the pail.

Now here are the ones from us dying the easter eggs.
