No Pants!

Jackson learned how to take his pants off awhile ago. It doesnt help that he is thinning out and all his pants are really loose on him. Yesterday, I laid him down for his nap and I heard him laughing and playing but didnt think anything of it because he usually does that for a couple minutes before going to sleep. Well a little while later I go out to cover him and what do I find, but him with no pants on. The best part was that he had dropped them over the side of the playpen. It cracked me up so I had to get a picture of it. His pants are on the bottom of the picture.Even better was that as I was sitting down to write this post, Jackson was doing his usual run around and playing. Well, I wasnt paying a lot of attention to exactly what he was doing so when I looked at him he looked back at me and held his pants up and laughed. Oh my son. So I tried to get a picture of him holding his pants and lauging but that wasnt happening because he just wanted to walk. So here is another video of him walking. He is getting much better. He practices quite a bit. He still crawls a lot but the walking is coming.

This is a residence

Yes, yes it is. Yesterday there was a knock on the door. I answered it and a man in a suit is there. The first thing he says is, "Oh this is a residence, not the boy scouts of America offices." I tell him, "Youre right, the Boy Scouts Office is that big red building over there (pointing to my right). Im sure he felt pretty dumb for thinking that this small building might be the Boy Scouts office- never mind the fact that we have a sign on our door that says "Private." Oh well, at least he knocked.

Brad Paisley Concert

So Saturday Night we got Nicole to babysit and instead of watching the BYU football game we went to Brad Paisley's American Saturday Night Tour with Jimmy Wayne, and Dierks Bentley! We went with Emily and Dylan. It was kind of a birthday present for Emily. We didnt get there early enough to see much of Jimmy Wayne but we did see all of Dierks set and Brad Paisleys! It was so great. It was fun to see all of the drunk people there going out of control during the whole concert, except for right after Dierks Bentley got done and everybody stood up to go walk around, we looked down on the ground in front of us and somebody threw up right next to the handicap seats in front of us. EWWWWW! It was pretty gross. Oh and we did see this one guy who was trying to resist security for whatever he did and then he got body slammed on the ground. That was funny, There is a picture at the very bottom of security dragging him away. Another drunk lady ran up on the stage during Brad Paisley and was quickly corraled by police. Oh and right before Brad Paisley went on we were just sitting there as innocently as can be when this girl goes up to the event staff lady to check her ticket to see where she was supposed to sit. She was playing with her pants then out of the blue pulled them down far enough to show us about half of her white thong. The best part was the 50 something year old rough looking guy sitting in between his wife and Dylan who scrambled to get a picture and then yelled out, "Hey I'd like to check you for ticks!" Well she didnt hear him and walked away, but we definitely got a good laugh over it.

First are the pictures of Dierks:

And here are the pictures of Brad Paisley
This is where Brad walked right out about 2 rows in front of us and performed, we were too slow at getting up to go get a good picture of him so this is all we got.

I hope you can see this one but this is where the drunk guy was being dragged out of the concert by the two security guards.

And he is on his Feet!

Here is the much anticipated video...Jackson has ventured from having to walk holding onto something and will finally let go, it started on Sunday we were just hanging out and jackson stood up on the table and then just turned around and took a few steps! I was so amazed, and then he started doing it more and more often, and now we finally got it on video for everyone else to see!

Keith Urban!!

We had a blast at the Keith Urban concert on 9/9/09! He put on such an awesome show. We were very impressed with how great of a guitar player he was and how much of an amazing performer he was. Definitely one to go see again. However we took so long getting our camera to work during the concert so that it would actually take pictures that we could see, our camera died. Yeah sad. Especially because Keith Urban came right down below us in the middle of all the people below us and we could have gotten some really good pictures, but its hard when there are no batteries in your camera. Sad day.

Oh and this is Little Big Town who opened for Keith! They were so awesome! Their harmonies were impecable and so incredible.

Team Spirit

Saturday we went over to Emily and Dylans to watch the BYU vs Oklahoma game. We got Jack dressed in his BYU shirt and also some cute stickers for his cheeks (let me say that those things were hard to get off!) Jack did see the end of the game, he went to bed, but boy were we all shocked and excited that BYU actually won!

Gum...

One quick story...as I was finishing up the last post I looked over to find Jackson going through my purse. He manager to get gum, take it out of the wrapper and was just about to stick it in his mouth. WhenI told him no, he looked at me, smiled and then sat there smelling the gum instead. Oh that kid!

11 months old!

Jack is 11 months now! Holy cow how timehas flown by. Next month and he will be a year. He almost has teeth coming in (finally). Hopefully the old adage holds true that the longer it takes for a baby to get teeth the better teeth they will have. We will see. Anyways, last Saturday we went up to grandpas house. We were weeding in the garden and Jack decided that he wanted to help out. Here are some pictures of him helping us (the pictures aren't the best because they are from my phone).

Sunday was the first day at church with all of the new students so itwas pretty full. Jack was in a goofy mood while the sacrament was being passed. Well, he was standing on the bench looking at the guys behind us who were making faces at him. All of a sudden, Jackson lets out loud hard laughs. Almost everyone in the roomstarted laughing as well. Even the bishopric was laughing as Jack kept laughing and laughing. Oh man, I was DYING of embarrasment. Before he started laughing you could have heard a pin drop in the roomit was that quiet. Oh well, life goes on and luckily hes so little and cute no one thinks anything of it.

Jack loves music and dancing. The other day I was playing the piano and he came over to play with me. Here is just a short little clip of him playing and dancing. The whole video ended up being about 2 minutes but I always have trouble loading videos on blogger so I had to make it really short.

New Job

Andrew has officially started working up at Wasatch High. Its pretty awesome. I can definitely get used to this schedule. He started working up there about a week ago and so far so good. I have missed having him home all day, but I definitely like him being home by 4. He can help with Jack while I make dinner and then he can also help get Jack ready for bed. Its great! The best part about it is we are back to having dinners with Emily and Dylan. Yay for not having to cook a couple nights a week!

He did it again!

Andrew won concert tickets again! This time to KEITH URBAN! YAY! We really wanted to go but it was too expensive and we already had bought tickets for Brad Paisley, but now we get too! Yay for us!

Jack's New Haircut

Yesterday, Andrew gave Jack a haircut. He had given him a couple of little ones where he just trimmed up his neck and sides, but yesterday he even trimmed the top. I was tired of the long hairs in front- it looked yucky! So here is a picture of Jack sporting his new haircut (andrew even gelled it for him today).

How cute is he?

So we went to a bar...(and more adventures from the weekend)

Not to drink...For a CONCERT! Thursday morning, while Andrew was driving up to Ogden for his Special Ed Law conference, he won tickets to see Emerson Drive on the radio. He has tried ALL summer long to win concert tickets and he finally did. Needless to say, he was super excited. So Friday, we dropped Jack off with Emily and Dylan (I was nervous because he usually cries and cries when we leave him with people). They said he was great though! So that made my heart happy. Anyways, Andrew and I drove up to Ogden to the Outlaw Saloon to see Emerson Drive. Yes the concert was at a bar. It was my first time at a bar, but evidently Andrew has been to a couple of country bars (he would go country dancing). Anyways, we got there at about 7 and they didnt even start the concert until 10! Holy hannah- I am usually asleep by 9:30 so this was really stretching it for me. We decided to stay for about a half hour and then go ahead and head home. I must say though, they were REALLY GOOD! They were very entertaining and sounded just like they do on the radio. We will definitely go see them again sometime (preferable not up in Ogden or in a bar- but hey the tickets were free so cant complain too much). Anyways, here are some pictures from our adventure up there.

Andrew busting a move onthe dance floor. A bunch of people were line dancing. He tried to get me to go up but I do NOT have coordination.
Andrew and I during the concert.
The lead singer. This is the fiddle player. The whole time he had this goofy smile on his face so Andrew HAD to get a picture of it. He thought it was hilarious.

SATURDAY morning we went up to my grandpas house. We got to see a family of quail. The babies were so tiny. We counted a total of 10 babies then there were 2 males and 1 female. This picture shows 5 of the babies.

I love this picture of Andrew throwing Jackson.

Later on Saturday we went on a "nature walk" with the ward (singles ward) and the other ward that we have been meeting with. It was a hike to Stewart Falls. We hiked to Stewart Falls (we actually didnt hike all the way down to the falls but we did get to see them) and then went and walked down to Bishop Christensen's cottage. (Just a side note, Bishop Christensen is a famous artist. He does lots of church art as well as kind of whimsical art- hes amazing!) His cottage was AWESOME!

Growing so fast!

Jack is 10 months now! Holy moly where has the time gone. At his 9 month appointment he weighed 20 lbs and was... well I forgot how long he was. He says dad, momma (sometimes- he prefers to say dad right now). He is also working on saying bath (he says baa) and book (booo). He loves to sit and "read" his books. He will sit and flip through the pages like he is really reading it and whisper to himself. Quite cute. He also is a big fan of the self feeding and we pretty much let him feed himself whenever possible. Check out these cute pictures.
And for your viewing pleasure, a video of Jack playing. (Thanks Dan & Sharryll & Tyler for the spiderman couch- he pretty much loves it!)

We are going back to...

Singles ward! Andrew was just called to be the 2nd counselor in the bishopric of a UVU student ward. Crazy I know. I am sad to no longer be attending our trusty BYU married student ward (we've been there for over 2 years so definitely feel comfortable there) but we are excited for the new experience. Im sure we will have stories to share soon.

Here are a few pictures from going to watch the fireworks on the fourth of July at the Stadium of Fire. We basically didnt stay very long because Jackson was really tired, however we got there like 3 hours early so we had a lot of fun just hanging out.

Here is a Picture of Christina and Nicole, Christinas Sister who got to come hang out with us this weekend while her husband was out of town.

A visit from Alaska!

Today our nephew Tyler came with Andrews Mom and Dad on there way to idaho. We have neevr seen him because he has been living in Alaska, and he had a blast hanging out with his cousin Jackson. Here are a couple of pictures of our day together.
