Halloween & Thanksgiving

Well, the Halloween pictures were inadvertently deleted so I can not show those. They were hilarious though. Jackson enjoyed carving pumpkins- well he liked to eat the pumpkin. He kept grabbing the tops and chewing on them. He would also get in and try to dig the guts out but instead of just throwing it in the bag he would taste a little bit. He was so funny to watch.
Onto Thanksgiving. As mentioned before Andrew's brother Dan and his family came down. It was so fun to see them. This was the second time since Andrew and I have been married that we have been able to spend time with them. They were living up in Alaska before moving to Idaho so thats why we did not see them. I do need to mention that I managed to make my first turkey and not undercook it or overcook it (Sharryll did help me at the end figure out when it was done). It turned out quite tasty too, if I can say that. Most of these pictures are from when we went up to Temple Square to see the lights. It was a really cold night, but it was so fun to see all the lights.

New Place & Updating in General

This is going to be a lot of writing and probably no pictures because I am on Andrew's work computer and we dont have any, but if you look at the previous post you will see all of our beautiful pictures taken by the wonderful Emily.
At the beginning of November, we moved into a new apartment. We have enjoyed many aspects of this. First off, I no longer work. This leaves much more time for cooking and cleaning and playing with Jack. We also love having 2 bathrooms. No more having to wait to use the bathroom (not that that happened too often). Jackson loves having his own room Im pretty sure. Almost every morning after breakfast we go in there and play. Can I just say how nice it is when I wake up in the middle of the night unable to sleep in bed I can actually go out to the living room and turn on a movie or something? This past week I have done it twice and oh man, it makes me so happy that I can actually do things in the middle of the night and not just be stranded to my bedroom because otherwise I would wake up Jack.
In Jackson updates- he is now 14 almost 15 months. He loves to read books (he will even read them to you), loves to get into the kitchen cupboards and drawers. Usually its the baking drawer and he pulls out the measuring cups, measuring spoons, whisks and spatulas. I really dont mind until I go to make something and of course the things that I need are gone. But thats alright, it keeps him happy. He has also started to enjoy helping me bake. He likes to sit on the counter watching the mixer. He is good at throwing things away- even when we dont ask him to. Sometimes, we will throw his diaper to the trash can and miss and Jackson will go and throw it away for us without us saying anything. Other times he will take his socks off and throw those away. We are still trying to teach him that keeping his socks on is beneficial- he has yet to agree with us. He loves music and dancing and playing the piano. My lovely sister Bobbie had left some toys for him when she moved to England. One is a dancing penguin from the Backyardigans (Ive never seen this show and I dont want to). The penguin is quite entertaining for Jack and he sings and dances along with him. Sometime I will put a video up of him with Pablo. There is also Elmo (even more annoying than Pablo). He dances and sings as well. As annoying as these toys are, it is too funny to take the batteries out or turn them off. He is talking more and more. Right now his favorite word is Istmas Ree (christmas tree). Right now, any tree is a Christmas Tree and he delights in letting us know. It is SO CUTE to hear him say it. He gets SO excited and his voice goes a little higher. He also can say mom (although he seems to only say this when he is upset), dad (he says this one all the time)- quick side note, we have a large collage picture frame on our bedroom floor with pictures of Andrew & I and Jackson will go and point out mom and dad for me- Jesus, ball, book. Those are pretty much is main words but he babbles like no other. If only we could understand all those other babbles. Oh he also sings- usually along with the radio in the car while dancing in his carseat- also very funny. He has also learned that if we can do it, he probably can too. This just started a couple of weeks ago. It started with the piano. He saw us open it up and one day he just went and opened it. Unfortunately, he has not forgotten how to do it either. He also learned how to wind the large snowglobe and music box so the music will play. It made Andrew and I kind of laugh because he loves to play with this large snowglobe that we have (its a winter wonderland scene) and one night we had it on the floor for him to watch and he kept pointing to it and having us wind it up so the music would play, and then instead of asking us, he did it by himself. Speaking of learning things, he just learned how to climb up on our rocker, and anything else that is low enough for him to get his leg up on. Not such a great thing because the kid has no fear. He will stand and jump and dive off of it (well he tries to dive off of it, we try to be close by to catch him). Im sure there is much more that has happened with Jack in the past couple of months that I have not blogged but at the moment I can not think of it (I'll just blame being pregnant). When I think of it, I will write about it.
Pregnancy update- I am now 29 weeks, WAHOO 11 weeks to go! We are getting excited but can't believe how fast it has gone. Everything is pretty good with this one for the most part. Except she likes to move, A LOT and she likes to sit on my siatic nerve. Not so comfortable. But thats alright, it'll be worth it in the end.
Andrew is really enjoying his job. It definitely has its challenges but he seems very positive about it. The good news is that his supervisor asked him about coming back next year and wanting him to. Always a good thing to have some job security. He has also started a masters program. I can't remember if I had wrote about him getting a job as a basketball coach, but if I didnt he did and if I did say something he didnt take it. The practices were going to be at like 7 at night (maybe 8 I cant remember). So he decided that right now he likes to actually see Jack and I so it just isnt very possible to do both. Not to mention that he is also still in the bishopric and they usually have at least 1 night during the week that they go do something. He is still enjoying his calling in the bishopric. It definitely brings about some challenges but its fun. It will be weird to go back to a regular ward. A lot of people keep asking what I will do when Jackson is able to go into nursery (that happens in April when he is 18 months) and I have Kenadi. Honestly, Im not quite sure. We are playing that one by ear. Im guessing I will probably go every other week to the different wards but we will see what happens.
Well, I think that that is all for now, I have to get on the other computer so that I can post about our Halloween and Thanksgiving. Dan (Andrew's brother), Sharryll & Tyler came down for Thanksgiving and we had a lot of fun and got some cute pictures of the boys. So that'll come a little later when I decide to get on the other computer.

Family Photos & Jackson's One Year Pictures

At the end of October, we had Emily take our family pictures as well as some just of Jack for his 1 year pictures. We are so lucky to know such a good photographer. Check our her blog (http://www.imagesbyemily.blogspot.com/). Anyways, there are  a lot of pictures on here but there were just so many that I liked.

Seeing Pink! (and other random news)

We just found out yesterday that we are expecting a little girl! We are so excited. We have known I am pregnant since the beginning of summer. It was a HUGE shock to both of us. (Even more of a shock that the singles ward stake presidency still wanted Andrew to be in the singles ward bishopric despite knowing we were expecting another). I didnt believe it until after about 6 pregnancy tests and hearing the heartbeat and having an ultrasound. Jackson and this little girl will be about 16 months apart. (Crazy we know!!) She is due March 2, 2010. We are so excited to have her come and join us. During the ultrasound she was being a little bit of a stinker and all curled up in a ball so the ultrasound technician said that she was 90% sure shes a girl. She said she couldnt see anything and so should be a girl. Which as a side note, at 16 weeks it was VERY clear Jack was a boy, so I am pretty confident this ones a girl.

In other news, I have put in my 30 day notice to my boss and we will be leaving the beloved storage units. Okay, I don't think I should actually refer to them as being beloved, but it has been our home for over 2 years so we will kind of miss it. But we are SO excited for our new place. Last night we went and met with the landlord and signed the first part of the contract and gave our deposit. It is still really close by and even more importantly still in our married student ward boundaries and even in the same quorum. 2 bedroom 2 bath. We are excited to have more space!!

Jack thinks he is hot stuff now that he can walk all over. He still crawls every once in awhile, but he would definitely prefer to walk. The other day we went to the store and he was feeling pretty good about life when we let him walk around in the store. He's a crack up.

Sorry for the boringness and no pictures. I need to get the scanner working (which really means Andrew needs to look at it and see whats going on) and then Ill put up the ultrasound pictures of our sea monkey/alien. And I dont know where the camera is so no pictures of Jack this time around. Sorry.

PS- Jenny, I put the floating baby ticker up JUST for YOU!

No Pants!

Jackson learned how to take his pants off awhile ago. It doesnt help that he is thinning out and all his pants are really loose on him. Yesterday, I laid him down for his nap and I heard him laughing and playing but didnt think anything of it because he usually does that for a couple minutes before going to sleep. Well a little while later I go out to cover him and what do I find, but him with no pants on. The best part was that he had dropped them over the side of the playpen. It cracked me up so I had to get a picture of it. His pants are on the bottom of the picture.Even better was that as I was sitting down to write this post, Jackson was doing his usual run around and playing. Well, I wasnt paying a lot of attention to exactly what he was doing so when I looked at him he looked back at me and held his pants up and laughed. Oh my son. So I tried to get a picture of him holding his pants and lauging but that wasnt happening because he just wanted to walk. So here is another video of him walking. He is getting much better. He practices quite a bit. He still crawls a lot but the walking is coming.

This is a residence

Yes, yes it is. Yesterday there was a knock on the door. I answered it and a man in a suit is there. The first thing he says is, "Oh this is a residence, not the boy scouts of America offices." I tell him, "Youre right, the Boy Scouts Office is that big red building over there (pointing to my right). Im sure he felt pretty dumb for thinking that this small building might be the Boy Scouts office- never mind the fact that we have a sign on our door that says "Private." Oh well, at least he knocked.

Brad Paisley Concert

So Saturday Night we got Nicole to babysit and instead of watching the BYU football game we went to Brad Paisley's American Saturday Night Tour with Jimmy Wayne, and Dierks Bentley! We went with Emily and Dylan. It was kind of a birthday present for Emily. We didnt get there early enough to see much of Jimmy Wayne but we did see all of Dierks set and Brad Paisleys! It was so great. It was fun to see all of the drunk people there going out of control during the whole concert, except for right after Dierks Bentley got done and everybody stood up to go walk around, we looked down on the ground in front of us and somebody threw up right next to the handicap seats in front of us. EWWWWW! It was pretty gross. Oh and we did see this one guy who was trying to resist security for whatever he did and then he got body slammed on the ground. That was funny, There is a picture at the very bottom of security dragging him away. Another drunk lady ran up on the stage during Brad Paisley and was quickly corraled by police. Oh and right before Brad Paisley went on we were just sitting there as innocently as can be when this girl goes up to the event staff lady to check her ticket to see where she was supposed to sit. She was playing with her pants then out of the blue pulled them down far enough to show us about half of her white thong. The best part was the 50 something year old rough looking guy sitting in between his wife and Dylan who scrambled to get a picture and then yelled out, "Hey I'd like to check you for ticks!" Well she didnt hear him and walked away, but we definitely got a good laugh over it.

First are the pictures of Dierks:

And here are the pictures of Brad Paisley
This is where Brad walked right out about 2 rows in front of us and performed, we were too slow at getting up to go get a good picture of him so this is all we got.

I hope you can see this one but this is where the drunk guy was being dragged out of the concert by the two security guards.

And he is on his Feet!

Here is the much anticipated video...Jackson has ventured from having to walk holding onto something and will finally let go, it started on Sunday we were just hanging out and jackson stood up on the table and then just turned around and took a few steps! I was so amazed, and then he started doing it more and more often, and now we finally got it on video for everyone else to see!

Keith Urban!!

We had a blast at the Keith Urban concert on 9/9/09! He put on such an awesome show. We were very impressed with how great of a guitar player he was and how much of an amazing performer he was. Definitely one to go see again. However we took so long getting our camera to work during the concert so that it would actually take pictures that we could see, our camera died. Yeah sad. Especially because Keith Urban came right down below us in the middle of all the people below us and we could have gotten some really good pictures, but its hard when there are no batteries in your camera. Sad day.

Oh and this is Little Big Town who opened for Keith! They were so awesome! Their harmonies were impecable and so incredible.

Team Spirit

Saturday we went over to Emily and Dylans to watch the BYU vs Oklahoma game. We got Jack dressed in his BYU shirt and also some cute stickers for his cheeks (let me say that those things were hard to get off!) Jack did see the end of the game, he went to bed, but boy were we all shocked and excited that BYU actually won!

Gum...

One quick story...as I was finishing up the last post I looked over to find Jackson going through my purse. He manager to get gum, take it out of the wrapper and was just about to stick it in his mouth. WhenI told him no, he looked at me, smiled and then sat there smelling the gum instead. Oh that kid!
