Rice Cereal

Kenadi had her first experience with rice cereal today. Earlier, when we were at the duck pond, she was sitting on my lap and kept grabbing the bread out of my hand. I decided that she would get some for lunch this afternoon. She did an awesome job and ended up eating about 3 tablespoons worth of it. Not bad for a first try!
Then, Jackson being the good big brother that he is, decided that he wanted to help. (as a side note, he's always trying to share with Kenadi...not so good when she's only 5 months)

Duck Pond

This morning, we went up to a duck pond/ fishing pond in Midway. It was so beautiful up there. Jackson really enjoyed feeding the ducks.
Right after we got there a couple of ducks came up on the side of the bank. Jackson walked over to them and started waving and saying, "Hi!" It was hilarious to watch!
Jackson and Andrew feeding ducks bread. Jackson loved throwing the bread in the water.
We tried to have him tear up his own bread into small pieces, but he would end up throwing half of a slice in. All the large white pieces in the water were from Jacksons awesome tearing ability. There were even more but I couldn't fit them all in the picture.

Jerseys and bouncers and a dress

Seems like we have been taking a lot of pictures the past couple of days. The other day Andrew bought a BYU jersey (for ridiculously cheap I might add) and Jackson thought it was so cool he wanted to try it on.
We decided it was time to bust the bouncer out for Kenadi. Jackson of course wanted to show her how to work it all
How about a little flashback? This is when Jackson first got to be in the bouncer . Yep! Id say they look like siblings.

 Back to Kenadi
Unlike Jackson however, she does NOT need the childrens hymn book to stand on to reach the floor. Remember this??
In his defense he was just barely 4 months and Kenadi will be 5 months tomorrow so she is older when she first stood in it. My bet is that they are about the same height when they grow up.
Now Jacksons turn. Kenadi decided it was bed time (it was like 7:30, man I love that she goes to bed at about 8 and then wakes up between 6:30 and 7!) so Jackson decided it was his turn to play in the bouncer.
He is soo goofy! He has been playing in the bouncer for most of this morning as well.

And lastly, yesterday we found Kenadis dress for Adam and Arielles wedding. I am going to make a red sash and red flower for her to wear with it. So Cute! (But I am biased)

Videos

Here are some videos we took of the kids today. Andrew was tossing Kenadi in the air and she was laughing so hard. Jackson wanted to get in on it too, so he had Andrew toss him as well. Earlier we were watching Curious George, Jacksons FAVORITE character, and he was dancing to the intro music.

Toes

Kenadi found her toes about a month ago and has loved holding them. Today though, she found she can chew on them. (Yes, she is naked but its because she had just spit up all over her dress and I was changing her into pajammies).

Jackson & Kenadi

Just some pictures from the past couple of days of Jackson and Kenadi
Jackson has been hiding lately. The other day he was hiding behind the recliner in his bedroom.

And now a little video of Jackson helping Kenadi dance. Once you get a little into it you can hear Kenadi laugh.

And a short video of Jackson dancing.

And more  Pictures! I forgot that I had some cute pictures from my phone.
Jackson asked to put his shirt and tie on.
Kenadi sitting up in her bumbo
Jackson loves to hold Kenadis hand when they're in the stroller.
Kenadi likes to sit with her feet up in the air.
He eats his cookies by poking a hole in the middle and sticking his thumb in. Silly kid!

Movin' on Up

to Heber! Our contract is up at the end of August and we decided that we would look in Heber and see if we could find anything we like. Surprisingly enough, we actually found a bigger apartment for $50 less a month. The downside is that the bedrooms are tiny but that was really the only downside. We will have  a little yard for the kids to play in (I am SO looking forward to that), it is in a quiet cul-de-sac, we will only have neighbors to our side (no one above or below!) and we are about a 1.5 minute drive to Andrews work. We are very excited for a new adventure up there!

Side note, as I was writing this, Jackson was having a morning snack of a waffel. He was sitting on the floor with his plate and fork. When he was done, he picked it all up, went and scraped the plate off (there wasn't anything on there but he scraped it to make sure) and then put it in the sink. I love that he is tidy!

On a Roll!

Kenadi started rolling over last week. For about the past month she has been almost rolling over. She could get her hips rolled over but not her head. Then a week and a half ago she finally got her head over. Now she thinks she is hot stuff and rolls all the time. The only problem is that she hasn't figured out how to roll back over to her back. At least today she started trying to roll back. Hopefully she'll figure it out soon. And now what you guys have all been waiting for.....Video of her rolling over!
Oh! I almost forgot! Friday I took her to the neonatal follow up program. Basically its just a program to follow kids who have been in the NICU and they check up and see how they are doing. They have different doctors/ specialists for each child. Kenadi saw a physical therapist, neurologist, pediatrician, nutritionist, and nurse. Everyone was very impressed with how well she is doing. She is showing no signs of delay or anything! In fact, the physical therapist said that she is already doing things that they don't expect to see until 6 months! The pediatrician and nutrionist both said that she was their A + patient for the day and the neurologist said that she is seeing no signs that she will need to see her again. I felt that Kenadi was doing great but it is always good to hear it from people who know exactly what to look for.

Baaaa!

Every Saturday we go up to my great grandpas house to help him out. He has sheep in his pasture and one of the first things Jackson says when we get up there is, "BAAAA!" The sheep really like him and will come up to him when he goes to the fence (or when he's in the pasture helping Andrew pick up the poop). Saturday we were weeding in the garden and Jackson went up to the fence to talk to the sheep. They all came up to him and stood there with him as he fed them weeds. Too cute!

What did I do?

Last night we are all just sitting around in the living room. I was on the couch flipping through a magazine and Andrew was on the rocker doing something on the computer. The kids were on the floor playing. Well, I look up to find Jackson dragging kenadi by her onesie across the floor and her cooing and laughing the whole way! (Dont worry he didnt really take her that far). I jump up and scream Jackson and get Kenadi. Andrew goes over toJackson because I had startled him and he was kind of in shock. He then looks around and out of no where says, "What did I do?" It cracked us up! He doesn't usually talk and has yet to say a full sentence like that, but you could definitely understand what he said. Oh that kid! Kenadi needs to start crawling already so Jackson has someone who can move along with him. Well, I am going to go pick up my living room for the 3rd time already this morning.

Blessing

We blessed Kenadi this past Sunday. It was a wonderful day! My dad, grandpa and great grandpa (so Kenadis great and great great grandpa) were able to be here. We are sad that things didnt work out for Andrews parents to be here and we sure missed them! Andrew gave Kenadi a wonderful blessing and you could definitely feel the spirit in the room as well as the love that everyone has for Kenadi. I still need to get pictures from my parents. Our camera was MIA so they took all of the pictures. Unfortunately, now that I am thinking about it, we did not get one picture of us as a family on her blessing day. After Sacrament Andrew had to rush off to teach Sunday School. Anyways, once I get the pictures I'll be sure to post them. She looked so cute in her blessing dress which was my blessing dress made by my great grandma.
